If you haven’t been living under a rock recently you’ve probably heard about Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony getting a divorce!
The singer is on record as saying, ‘We have decided to end our marriage…This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters’.
Their shock marriage in 2004 came as a suprise to fans the world over and is actaully Jlos third marriage and now divorce. The singer has had many troubled past relationships, although just what is the cause of the upsets is unclear. Perhaps the pressures of a celebrity lifestyle combined with the regular ups and downs of marriages in general have taken their toll.
The news comes after 7 years of marriage and can’t be easy on either of them. The couple have also said, ‘It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time’. While wanting that privacy, it is certain that many fans the world over will be watching with interest as the story unfolds.
Her marriage to Ojani Noa ended in 1997 and with Chris Judd back in 2001. At least this is one girl who’s not afraid of commitment.
The couple have 3 year old twins Max and Emme and I am sure that whatever happens the interests of the children will come first.

Lopez was quoted back in 2009 as saying, 'divorce is not an option' but obviuously the strains of married life have pushed the singer too far.
Jennifer Lopex has recently been a judge on the hit tv show American Idol and has given rise to rumours that she may not return for another season. However, that remains to be seen.
Whatever the outcome of this divorce I hope that things can remain civil as it's never nice to see celebrity couples fight it out in public. It's also important to remember just what it is that attracts us to these celebs and what makes them who they are in the first place. That is unquestionably their talent and energy they bring to the entertainment arena.
Lopez especially has proven time and time again that no matter what the circumstances she will continue to remain a positive force in the music industry for years to come.
